As educators, we aim for children to grow in confidence and independence during their time in Reception.

Children will become resilient learners, developing into social, happy individuals through a variety of well-planned experiences in a safe, stimulating, engaging and inclusive environment.

We believe in fostering a love of learning and nurturing each child's strengths and interests. Our children will learn to form stable relationships with their peers and educators, leaving our EYFS confident and with enquiring minds to continue their Parkgate journey.

OUR RECEPTION GOALS

As children, it is important to have child-friendly learning goals.

Parkgate Reception learning goals are visible in the environment and referred to by educators to motivate and give a sense of achievement and pride.

When children are in discovery and teaching moments the adults will comment on goals that they are achieving until they are able to recognise this themselves and share it with others.

This lays the foundation for taking responsibility for their own learning as they journey through Parkgate Primary School.
